“Red Deer” represents those special moments when a person makes a brief connection with a wild animal, whether a butterfly landing on your shoulder, or unexpected encounter with a fox in the garden. Or, indeed, locking eyes with a red deer out in the wilds!

I particularly enjoyed painting the antlers and the variety of fur textures on this majestic animal.
